Recently I received an invitation from the Van Geel Family to head out on a relaxing cottage weekend with my family. I jumped at the chance to have a mini getaway and live the cottage life for the weekend! Just 90-minutes away from the city, the Cultus Lake area felt like the perfect distance especially with Liam in the car, so we packed up the car and headed out for the weekend with all our essentials!

When we arrived we were greeted and toured through The Treehouse which is the amenity building all residents at The Cottages at Cultus Lake have unlimited access to. It includes two pools, an indoor/outdoor gym, media room, full kitchen and lots of activities! We checked into our cottage, which was picture perfect. The site is set up to optimize the natural outdoor space and provide all the luxury amenities of a single family home.  Once we settled in, we spent the day at the beautiful pool, enjoying sunshine, with some much needed and memorable family time in the sun.

In the evening we had a chance to explore The Cottages. The residences are surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty; everywhere you look you discover something new. Having a BBQ dinner on the patio while taking in nature was so tranquil, I could go there every weekend!

The main reason for my visit was for an exclusive tour Creekside Mills with Sale Director – StevenVan Geel. With the success of The Cottages (they only have a few homes left, starting from $399,900!) they are now developing a brand new development across the creek, fittingly called Creekside Mills at Cultus Lake, comprised of 129 residences on 79 acres of breathtaking land.  Steven picked us up and took us on a short 5-minute drive to the new site. For someone with a heart for design, I saw (and fell in love) with their vision as Steven explained each detail with passion and excitement. They have elevated the cottage-style living to support year-round residents who will make Creekside Mills their primary home or their vacation getaway with over- sized bedrooms, walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. They are hitting all the right notes!

In addition to amazing country homes, the community will offer an edible landscape or farm to table concept through out the masterplan. Homes will sit amongst lustrous orchards with a variety of fruits and vegetables managed by a grounds keeper or gardened by the homeowners. How amazing does that sound? This just adds to the amazing mountains, the sounds of the creek running by and a greatness of the outdoors that accompany each home. The property also boasts a shared Clubhouse amenity that includes two outdoor pools, a hot tub, a fitness facility, gourmet teaching kitchen, entertainment area, kids play area, a huge wilderness trail network and much more.
