DIY ChalkBoard
Good Morning! I hope you’re all enjoying your extra long weekend!
If you’re home from work today (yay!) Maybe you’re looking for something to do around the house? Maybe a DIY Project??
Since I posted my home tour on the blog, I’ve had lots of ppl contact me asking about the “cute little chalk board” resting on my vanity table.
Well believe it or not, that was a last minute DIY! I love chalk boards! I have two walls painted in our home “Shopping List” in our kitchen and a “ToDo List” in our office. I still had some paint left over, so I thought I would turn a previous DIY Project (White spray painted frames) into new fabulous DIY chalk board. Seriously, it was the easiest thing I’ve ever done! Painted the glass with some chalkboard paint and voila. Plus, perfect for a daily memo!
I found a quick and simple picture tutorial from b*spoke so you can find it easy to make your homemade chalkboard too!
* for the spray paint I used high gloss pure white.
I am totally home today and I definitely want to do this! Its such a cute idea. I feel like I’m constantly leaving notes around the house and wasting paper when instead and I can just whip one of these up! Thankss!!
Adorable! Love it 🙂
I love this idea . I think it would also look great in a light mint color 🙂
I was just wondering what brand of chalk board paint you used?
i went to home depot, and just bought a little can, its the only one they have! i’ll take a peak and see what it was! 🙂
I love this and your blog!
I’m your newest follower 🙂 Hopefully you can check out my blog

Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m definitely going to have to keep this DIY project in mind. Also, I checked out your home tour and I am in love! Your idea of painting an entire wall with chalkboard paint – genius. 🙂
David made his own ping pong table last year (I know right? SO random) and actually used chalkboard paint to paint it. I’m going to ask if he has some left overs cause I have a few gold value village frames that I would love to paint! I had no idea you could just paint the glass and get the chalkboard texture. Thanks for the brilliant idea Mon!!
