Health & My Littles
Without a doubt, this winter season’s flu hit our family hard. We were all sick during the holidays, to the point of exhaustion! We all got sick at either the same or different times. Six weeks of not feeling well really got to our little family! Which was why Troy and I decided to book a warm vacation away in Hawaii. We needed a break and some quality time with the kids. We knew the sun would do us some good!
Fortunately, there are a wide variety of ways to help get your family back to good health even while planning a sunny vacation to help! When the (seemingly) inevitable bug hits, I have a collection of tried and true tips to help boost their immune systems and alleviate their symptoms: Chest rubs, humidifiers, smoothies, clear fluids, homemade chicken soup, fresh air, and natural cough remedies– like Helixia Cough Prospan Kids.
I have learned and love that Helixia Cough Prospan Kids is naturally sourced from dried ivy leaf extract, which relieves symptoms without making my kids drowsy and helps to loosen mucus and phlegm. I appreciate I can give it to both Liam and Lilly and both of them seem to enjoy the taste! There’s something about being able to actually give them cough syrup that makes me feel relieved. Any other moms of little ones feel the same way?
With that all being said it’s so helpful to include kids’ cough syrup in your suitcase before
going on vacation. Between airports and airplanes, rental cars and hotels, there are all kinds of opportunities for kids to pick up a bug or simply have a lingering cough. (I packed Helixia Cough Prospan with us for our trip to Hawaii. That extra peace of mind helped me relax even more.)
Our trip has been wonderful and I’ve loved having this little trick up my sleeve! Natural remedies, sunshine and quality time with the family was just what we needed! How do you combat coughs and colds in your house? Any other tips and tricks you swear by? I’d love to know about them!
