Kid’s Room Refresh
August is a great time to start to get organized for the upcoming school year; whether you’re already underway with prep or just starting to think about it as it always creeps up so fast! With the return of school, we thought it would be a great idea to gather up some of our favourite pieces for a refresh on the kiddos’ spaces.
Are you looking to purchase more substantial pieces for your kid’s room? A neutral dresser like this one will last for years and will grow with them – transitioning from even as early as a nursery to when they are a teenager. (We have it in Blake’s room and I just adore it.) I love the look of twin beds, there is something so nostalgic about them, this rattan daybed would be adorable in any little girl’s room. It has the perfect soft boho vibe that we love. If classic is more your style, then the spindle detail on this bed is beautiful (very well made with a solid heavy wood- it will stand the test of time), it comes in an array of colours to pick from you can have it in a little boy or girls room. Larger neutral pieces in the room – like beds and dressers – help to ground the space, as well as allow the pieces to grow with them.
Have fun hanging artwork and pendants, try adding in colours with striped sheets and pillows allowing the pops of colour to be the fun and whimsy within the space- so important in a kid’s room. Don’t forget about storage!!!! Baskets, crates, or a wicker storage trunk like this will help and keep there space tidy (so we hope!).
