Lemonade Backyard Party
Isn’t summer just the best? I love spending lots of time outdoors and creating fun memories for the kids. Today, we have teamed up with our friends at Crate and Barrel to create a fun outdoor space for summer moments. Lillya has been asking to set up a lemonade stand since the day I had mentioned it to her, at the beginning of summer. A perfect activity for a sunny day. Lemonade stands don’t only have to be roadside. Maybe you are hosting an annual family BBQ this summer or a get-together with some of your friends and their families; incorporating a lemonade stand is fun and memorable. Keep reading below for some tips as well an exciting giveaway.
Lemonade and treats go perfectly together, especially with lots of friends and family around. Try setting up a cake stand and some donuts or cookies and cupcakes. The girls are at the age where they love serving their guests, it’s so cute! We had a pitcher and glasses out ready for them to serve, with a drink dispenser for “back-up”. We added striped paper straws and attached these adorable paper lemons; Available for you to print out too!
What about the lemonade stand itself, you may ask? We ended up using the wooden structure we made for Blake’s birthday, stringing fun lemonade bunting we created to the front, also available as a free digital download! Simply print out your desired colour choice on cardstock: cut out each triangle and punch two holes at the top of each end, then string with twine. If you are looking for something to create your own lemonade stand with you could use a little side table or a bar cart, try and be creative with what you have around your home.
Creating an inviting seating area at any outdoor party is a nice added touch. We added these stunning Regatta chairs in front of the girl’s lemonade stand and as well this outdoor Millstone coffee table, creating an area to sit down, relax and enjoy good company. Throw pillows add another layer of decor to our entertaining area and, of course, comfort as well. I love these neutral textured pillows from Crate and Barrel, perfect to use all summer long. Having a coffee table or side table gives you another space to put out food and drinks. Try setting out a wicker tray with more glasses and a pitcher, or a serving board with some appetizers for your guests to enjoy.
