I can’t believe how long it’s taken me to share our bedroom with you all! Since I started drawing up the plans with our Architect Su Casa Design I knew exactly what I wanted. Lots of windows to bring as much light in, complementing a white and airy AND welcoming bedroom, that included the kids to come jump in bed with us too!

I worked along side my favourite decor store and design studio The Cross Decor and Design. Together we not only designed a gorgeous white and bright bedroom space, but also designed two pieces; that you can as well purchase! Oh, the bed! I knew what bed I wanted from the moment we started chatting well over a year ago! You might have heard of their “Dream Bed“. I adored the look, but wanted to slightly modify it to the room dimensions and my personal taste. We added some height to the head board, added a foot board, finished off with a gorgeous tuffed while linen. We decided to call it “Monika’s Dream Bed“. I knew I really wanted a bench at the foot of the bed, and one that makes a statement too. Designer’s Guild has been one of my favourites when it comes to fabrics, so one of their floral designs is what we upholstered it with. I love how it works as a bench and some extra pretty storage too.  We chose everything from the bedside tables, to the lamps, to the bedding and all the gorgeous accessories. Such a dream to work with The Cross design team!

Again, I went with custom white linen drapes made by my favourite ladies over at Q. Design Centre paired with their stunning gold hardware. To add a bit of extra shade on the two side windows I added in grass roman blinds from Stephanie Jean Design. I love the look of them adjacent to one another, especially the different textures!

I know inevitably at some point it will end up with some sort of stain or discoloration. Did you scotch guard yours? Any tips on cleaning?
