Creamy Bacon Mac and Cheese
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
1 can CAMPBELL’S® Condensed Cream of Bacon Soup
¾ cup milk
1 cup shredded old cheddar cheese
2 tbsp. chopped fresh chives
3 cups prepared elbow pasta (about 1 ½ cups or 375 mL uncooked)
¼ cup dry breadcrumbs
2 tbsp. butter, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 2 qt (1.9 L) baking dish, set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together soup and milk until smooth. Stir in cheese, chives and cooked elbow pasta to combine. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over pasta. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
Tips
For even more bacon flavour, add 2 tbsp. (30 mL) crumbled, crisp bacon to the sauce.
- Try replacing the elbow pasta with your favourite shape (penne, rigatoni, butterfly, etc.) for a new twist on mac and cheese.
I hope you enjoy this delicious mac and cheese as much as my family does! Happy cooking!
