This might be one of the most excited I’ve been for a post! My sister, Michelle is expecting a baby boy any day now! We are so so so excited! I can hardly believe my baby sister is having a baby!!!

I knew the moment she told me she was pregnant that I wanted to throw her a sweet farm baby shower! I just adored this theme, and thought of every little detail to make it extra special for her! Hope you’re paying attention because there are lots of details and lots of unreal local brands and talents that helped this all come to life!

I went with a classic farm theme, yet tried to keep eventing neutral and classic. Loos florals, plaid napkins, country pies and lemonades made for an incredible meeting and feast for all our guests!

Because there was so much decor and attention to little details involved in this event, I thought to my life easier I would get it catered too! Oh my word, I’m so happy I did. Otherwise I don’t know how I would have gotten it all done!  I can’t tell you how amazed by all the food and attention to detail that “Lazy Gourmet” put into not only the quality of the food but the display too! I mean, look at those little chicks and piggies in a blanket! Too cute to eat!

For the invitations and additional stationary I custom made a collection with Dixie Design Collective. I can’t say enough good things about the design process and the attention to detail that the girls had shown when designing the invitations. I’m beyond thrilled with the way they looked! Such a sweet addition and keepsake to the shower.

Below I’m including every detail and where you can find what. Including a few products/ favours that we sent home with our guests! Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll do my best to answer! Hope you find some inspiration for your next baby shower.

Nothing makes me happier then getting ready for Christmas! I am so excited to announce the release of a special edition holiday mug that I’ve designed with one of my favourite tea companies teapigs! I love that their tea is whole leaf, and the mesh bag it comes in has lots of room for those leafs!

We have been working on this for a while now and I am so thrilled with how the final product turned out! As we are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I am looking forward to enjoying a heaping mug of hot chocolate by the fireplace.  Now I have my very own personalized mug to enjoy it from!  I’m also looking forward to giving this mug as a gift, as I designed it so it would be perfect for the holiday season!  What is even better about this gift is that $1 from every mug sold will go to a charity that is very close to my heart.  Vancouver’s new City Dream Centre is part of a global network and delivers programs that address the issues arising from hunger, poverty, human trafficking, addiction and homelessness. This charity is located in the city of Surrey and it is a place where hope, dignity and value exist for everyone.  So now you can go to teapigs.ca and order your very own mug that you can feel good about giving! Also how amazing does the peppermint infused hot chocolate look! I’ve shared the recipe below, so cozy up and enjoy!
